Asansol

Welcome to Dishergarh Power Station

India Power Corporation Ltd. (IPCL), formerly known as DPSC Limited, incorporated in 1919, is set to become India’s leading power generation and utility company. The company has actively forayed into a diversified portfolio, with renewable and conventional modes of power generation, distribution & power trading.

IPCL has been commissioned 1x12MW Thermal Power Plant on 25.09.2013 within the existing boundary of Dishergarh Power Station with AFBC Technology Boiler which was supplied by M/s Cheema Boiler Limited and Turbine was supplied by M/s Siemens Limited. The power generated from the plant is fed to Dishergarh Grid for supplying to IPCL licensing area.

Salient features of the Power Plant:

12 MW Thermal Power Plant was set up only in an area one acres approximately after demolition of 10 nos. old boiler which were installed mid of 20 th Century.

Project financed by IDBI Bank limited.

Existing Water Allocation (DVC) utilized for 12 MW Power Plant.

Evacuation through existing Grid Substation of Dishergarh to Licensing Area.

Environmental Clearance obtained from Dept. of Environment Govt. West Bengal Consent to Operate and renewals has been obtained from West Bengal Pollution Control Board.

Existing Factory License issued Directorate of Factory, Govt. of West Bengal in the year 1924 has been continued.

Boiler Steaming Certificate obtained from Directorate of Boiler, Govt. of West Bengal.

Electrical Charging Clearance obtained from Directorate of Electricity, Govt. of West Bengal.

In-principle investment approval obtained from West Bengal State Electricity Regulatory Commission.

COD is declared on 25.09.2013.

Haldia

Welcome to Hiranmaye Energy Limited

Hiranmaye Energy Limited formerly known as India Power Corporation (Haldia) Limited and incorporated in 2008 at Ministry of Commerce & Industries for setting up 3x150MW Thermal Power Plant at Haldia, Purba Midnapur, West Bengal, with State Govt. initiative and support for having private investment in the tune of Rs.3500 Crores in power sector which also support the ever increasing power demand. The plant will provide direct and indirect employment to local people and will support the State Government's commitment towards sustained job creation for people of West Bengal.

Salient features of the Power Plant:

Project Finance by Power Finance Corporation (PFC) and Rural Electrification Corporation (REC) and financial closure/approval obtained.

Land obtained from the Govt. of West Bengal through Haldia Development Authority (HDA) for setting up of the said power plant.

Water (15MGD) allotted by Haldia Development Authority for the said project through a dedicated pipe line (5 Km).

Evacuation of Power through a monopole double circuit 220KV transmission line (2Km) from plant 220 KV New Haldia sub-station of WBSETCL through pass-bay approved by Ministry of Power, Govt. of West Bengal.

Power Purchase Agreement for 300MW with West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited.

Environmental Clearance as well as amendments obtained from Dept. of Environment Govt. West Bengal and Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Govt. of India. Also Consent to Operate for Unit#1 &2 has been obtained from West Bengal Pollution Control Board.

Factory License obtained from Directorate of Factory, Govt. of West Bengal.

Meenakshi Energy Limited has been operating 2X150 MW  coal fired power generation units. 2x350 MW units are under construction.

All Major clearances have been obtained.

The project is being implemented through separate  packages.

Resource Availability: Land   - Acquired entire land required for the project Water - Kandaleru Creek at a distance of one kilo metre from  the project  site.

Electricity is the measure of Socio-economic development of a Country. Supply of quality Power to every house-hold at reasonable rate is essential; equally important is reliable power to an industry as competitive price. Although there has been substantial improvement in the Sector, there still remains a large supply demand gap caused due to inadequacies in generation, transmission, distribution and inefficient uses of electricity.

With this backdrop India Power placed at Kolkata started its journey in the year 2003 and by now have already bagged few power projects in different part of the country.

Renewable energy is energy that comes from resources which are continually replenished such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides, waves and geothermal heat and it is very much ecofriendly. Wind Power, Solar Power and Hydro Power are most popular renewable energy generating plants. With the aim of contributing greener and pollution free energy, India Power has installed 105.2 MW Wind Power plants in following states of India.

Rajasthan

60 MW (75 X 800 KW) wind power plant has been set up in Jaisalmer district, Rajasthan in two phases. In the first phase 52 MW plant commissioned in March, 2012 and the power is sold to Ajmer Discom and in the second phase 8 MW plant was commissioned by January, 2013 and the power is sold to Jaipur Discom.

Gujarat

29.8 MW (31 X 800 KW) wind power plant has been set up in Samana which is situated in Rajkot and Jamnagar district, Gujarat. Plant was commissioned in March, 2007 and the power is sold to GUVNL

Karnataka

10.4 MW (13 X 800 KW) wind power plant has been set up in Chitradurga district, Karnataka. Plant was commissioned in March, 2006 and the power is sold to BESCOM.

Maharashtra

5.0MW (1x1.25Mw +1x3.75MW) wind power plant has been set up in Dhule (1.25 MW) and Sangli (3.75 MW) district , Maharashtra was commissioned and power is sold to DISCOM.

Solar-West Bengal

We were one of the pioneers in the country to obtain RPO certificate by installing 2MW Grid Solar PV Power Plant on 8.3 acres of Company’s own land at Jamuria, which as at the erstwhile Seebpore Power Station in Asansol, West Bengal.

This was the largest power plant all over South East Asia.

About 60000 units of electricity are generated annually from this plant and it facilitates in feeding the distribution grid network of our own licensed area.

India Power has laid the foundation stone in West Bengal in the field of Green Power generation and this was the first model project in West Bengal for harnessing solar energy on a commercial scale.

Solar –Uttarakhand

In the village Kuakhera, Sarovar Nagar and Dhanpur of district of Rudrapur of Uttrakhand 12MW each solar power has been commissioned on 22.03.17 and 31.03.17 and same has been connected to UPCL 33KV network for evacuation.

Power Trading: Overview-

IPCL Power Trading Private Limited (IPTPL) is a subsidiary of India Power Corporation Limited. IPCL is India's one of the oldest integrated private sector power utility (formerly known as DPSC Limited) with an installed generation capacity of 12 MW coal based Thermal Plant and 95.2 MW Wind Plants as on 31st March 2014 with a fast paced capacity addition planned in coming years. One of the Associate SPV of IPCL is presently implementing at Haldia in West Bengal, 150MW X 3 coal based thermal Power Plant, expected to be operational by the end of Calendar 2015. IPCL has emerged as a pioneer in the Indian power sector, with a track record of performance, customer care and sustained growth and lowest ever T & D losses.
