India Power’s CSR approach is focused on sustainability, and creates business value by factoring in the social and environmental impacts of conducting business. In Financial year 2019-20 India Power introduced Annual Signature CSR initiatives which have left its footprints in serving the society in the fields of Women Empowerment, Skill Development & Community upliftment, Education, Environment, Support to nationally acclaimed sports, upliftment of art and artisans of Bengal to preserve our age old culture & heritage and health. The initiatives introduced are Ananya (Empowering Women), Project Shakti (Skill Development & Entrepreneurship), Happy Periods (Women’s Health & Menstrual Hugiene), Medha (Education of Girl Child), #giftgreen (Environment), Adibashi Football Protijogita (support to Nationally acclaimed sport), Rarh Bangla Karigari mela (Saving art and artisans of Rarh region of Bengal) and Swastha Samriddhi (Healthcare) besides other initiatives involving infrastructure and rural development, providing safe drinking facilities, industrial training, scholarship to meritorious students. All these activities have been designed with the primary objective to handhold the society at large. Besides the usual CSR initiatives, during the lockdown period due to Covid-19 outbreak, team India Power stepped forward to provide the most important basic need, food, to the needy people residing in and around its operational region.
2020 has brought along a global distress in the name of Covid-19 pandemic. As the world was making wishes on the New Year’s Eve, it was unknown to one and all what was kept for them in near future.
On March 24, 2020, the Indian Government declared a nationwide lockdown for 21 days which was later on extended till May 30, 2020, with the objective to flatten the coronavirus spread. However, in this situation people of the grass-root level are the worst affected as they are completely jobless and therefore are struggling for the primary and basic need of life, food.
India Power has been instrumental in touching lives and bringing smiles in the lives of people as it has always considered itself to be a People’s company with the primary objective to grow as the society grows. India Power believes in serving the community to the best of its abilities and in this time of crisis, it has stepped forward to serve the needy.
Team India Power has distributed food items to the people in need within its licensed area in Asansol-Ranigunj belt. The Power Team has been directly involved in this noble task.

Haldia’s biggest fair Haldia Mela 2018 organised by Haldia Development Authority and Haldia Municipality at Satish Samanta Trade Centre, Sanghati Maidan, Haldia was organised during 9th February to 18th February 2018. Most of the corporate houses and industrial units participated in the event. And Hiranmaye Energy Limited was one of them. Our stall was inaugurated by Mr. Somesh Dasgupta, President – India Power Corporation Limited in presence of Mr. Pradip Kumar Das, Head Construction and other officials of Hiranmaye Energy Limited. Mr. Ujjal Kumar Sengupta, CEO, HDA attended our stall as a special invitee.
The Asansol Durgapur Development Authority (ADDA) organized the Asansol Utsav from 3rd November to 12th November, 2017 at the ADDA Ground in Asansol. The event was organized by the West Bengal State Government with the objective to felicitate the developmental progress of West Bengal.
India Power participated in this 10-day long festival and had put a stall at the Utsav premises. Mr. Somesh Dasgupta, President, Mr. Harminder Mohan Bareja, VP ,HR, Mr. Debasish Sarkar, VP Technical, Mr. Partha Chattaraj, GM,HR and other officials and dignitaries of IPCL were present on the inaugural day.
IPCL stall experienced a huge footfall which quiet significantly marked success of participation.
The Indo American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) organized a 1 day National Energy Conclave titled “Sustainable Future of Energy in India” on 2nd February 2018, in Kolkata. The program was inaugurated by Shri. Sobhandeb Chattopadhyay, Honoueable Power Minister, West Bengal in the presence of US Consul General and leading experts from India and abroad who were invited as the esteemed speakers of this occasion.
Our CEO, Mr. Sanjeev Seth, was invited as one of the eminent speakers for the opening session of the event titled “India’s Energy Trend’. Mr. Seth, in his discourse, primarily focused on topics including the progress of Energy Sector and the current Indian scenario of Power Generation, Distribution, Private Licensee/PPP, Privatization and Challenges. He also discussed about the way forward and utilization of Block Chain technology.
IPC(B)L organised Sanjha Sampark camp in one of the furthest remote area of Tankuppa of Gaya DF Business Area Unit 3. The camp experience a footfall of around 476 consumers and all of their issues have been attended and resolved by the employees at the service desk which includes providing NSCS. In this camp Mr. Kumar Sarvjeet, MLA Bodhgaya, Mr. Mahendra Yadav, Zilla Panchayat Memeber and Gram Mukhya were present and they appreciated this initiative of the company. Besides they also advised to organise more camps for other rural areas as well.
IPC(B)L took up the advice given by Bodhgaya MLA and Zilla Panchayat Memeber and Gram Mukhya and organized more such camps at rural consumer base in Bathani Market Business Area. In this camp Smt. Kunti Devi, MLA Atri Vidhansabha, her P.A., Mukhiya and other dignitaries of the market and panchayet were present. IPC(B)L Gaya DF Business Head Mr. Subir Das along with Mr. Sunil Mishra, Mr. Sachin Patil, Mr. Neeraj pandey and other officials were present at the camp. Smt Kunti Devi appreciated the initiative and the Mukhya ensured all kinds of support to India Power from the Market consumers and the villagers.
IPC(B)L has successfully organize 10 more such camps in business Area 1, 2 and 3.
India Uniper Power Services Pvt. Ltd. participated in the Power Gen Exhibition, 2017 which was held in Pragati Maidan, Delhi from 17th-19th May. Dignitaries including Mr. Raghav Kanoria, Mr. Boben Anto, Mr. Animesh Kumar, Ms Bonnya Bose, Mr. Doug Waters, Mr. Michael Vann, Mr. Dan Eyre and Mr R P Singh were present at the exhibition stall.
The India Uniper Power Services stall saw a significant footfall of power industry stalwarts and enthusiasts.
On 15th March our Company Celebrated Consumer Rights Day and greeted each of our valuable customer with chocolates.
